Description: This feature class denotes the location of known storm junction points, also known as storm manholes, within the City of Sterling Heights. These manholes are located on streets, in parking lots and in grassy areas, and provide maintenance access to the storm water system. Many of these structures are fitted with vented covers, functioning as another entry point for water to enter the City's storm system. These structures were field located with sub foot accuracy between September 2017 and June 2018, and were built using a combination of existing Microstation data, scanned plan and as-built drawings. In all, there are approximately 11,000 storm manholes within the City.
