Description: This feature class denotes the location of known storm sewer inlet points, also known as catch basins, within the City of Sterling Heights. These catch basins are located on streets, in parking lots and in grassy areas, and are the main entry points for water to enter the City's storm system. These structures were field located with sub foot accuracy between September 2017 and June 2018, and were built using a combination of existing Microstation data, scanned plan and as-built drawings. In all, there are approximately 30,000 catch basins within the City.
